Some monthly training updates as we get ready for the next CX season

« 2021-2022 Started officially for us on March 1st. Just like the past few years, I’ll be sharing some monthly training updates here as we get ready for the next CX season!

The first month was mostly about getting back on the bike more steadily and putting a few pedal strokes in our legs.

We did just that with a little over 80h for the first month, which included a lot of MTB.

Last winter, with covid, we couldn’t come down to AZ and so we rode a lot less MTB than we usually do. It showed a lot on the bike handling during this past CX season as what is usually one of Maghalie Rochette's strength on the bike became a weaker point.

We rode without a fixed plan in mind. Just shooting for 15-20h a week, with no intensity other than the one needed to haul our little winter fat up the hills.

Lots of fun and already some solid improvements and better feelings on the bike.

For April, we are shooting for a bit more total hours, and we’ll start including some endurance intervals and a longer ride every week (5-7h rides).

Happy Easter everyone, enjoy the ride! »
