Young me would have felt so lucky to be able to live her wildest dreams not once but twice, and as much as I do feel incredibly lucky to be on this journey right now, I realize that the real gifts are the humans I met along the way.

Leaving for the first leg of this journey, I am feeling so grateful for the people back home who have made these past months some of the best yet.

Thank you Caileigh Filmer for being the best of friends and girl could ever ask for. I feel so lucky I get to share this Olympic experience a second time with you and I can’t wait to feel free like the wind on our adventures post racing.

Thank you Matt Shallcrass and coach Khyl Orser the best in the bizz for pushing me everyday and putting up with my shenanigans as always.

Thank you Amiel Flett Even though our paths have parted, you have been a huge part of this and I owe you more than you will ever know.

Thank you Fabín Merino Llanillo for being an A+ training partner and friend, for getting my ass out the door at the buttcrack of dawn and for making all these miles feel like no work at all (well most of them at least…)

More thank yous go to @madi_marshalll @celina.toth @jpl____ @6ratsinatrenchcoat @jacksonjmorris @quintondisera @whitneybertoia @cat_drewf @jillmoffatt @huckitholly @spdmechanics @broadstreetcycles @blueribbonbicycleservice Thank you for making each day a little sweeter

And a special shoutout to @eliwest your pottery classes were so much more than just a class on a Tuesday evening. It was rather an island of peace and calm amidst the chaos of the daily routine. Thank you

See you soon Vic
